Democracy in Egypt

Democracy in Egypt

-Tahrir Square-

Millions of Men, Women and Children stand to fight their freedom and for their rights. Eygptian’s wanted a Democracy.

-Old Egypt-

In the old times even up to before this year, Men were central Government and only allowed power. In Egypt President Hosni Mubarak has been in office for three decades. The people of Egypt say he is corrupt. The media had released that Mubarak family is believe to be between $40 – $70 billion, which was due to his Military contracts made during his time in Air force. The media stated that Mubarak money was spread out through several bank accounts. It was announced on February 12, 2011. The Government of Switzerland was freezing the Swiss bank accounts of Mubarak and his family.

-New Egypt-

Have things in Egypt changed their ways? Young Egyptians have studied abroad to have a way to help their family becoming wealthy or even manage to live a stable life. After coming home they soon realize that they cannot move on from where they started, even with their new education living in they’re current society they themselves cannot find jobs, speak up to the government for help. Knowing this the people of Egypt decide to make a stand to their government. After Fighting for democracy,Women have begun to realize “why are Men the only ones to be in power and have there words heard”. Women In Egypt is saying that we have no rights because we are not united.

In this political cartoon President Mubarak is in denial for Egypt's needs. The People of Egypt are protesting outside his window saying and displaying Leave, beat it, We want Democracy.

-My Thoughts-

I believe this was bound to happen whether it would be now or later in history. Mubarak I say is only human. We have our weakness, our strength, our likes and dislikes. In a world where money is needed in society a human Characteristic will come along with that, which is known as Greed. Humans characteristic are base on self-reflection and influence. If America had to separate the power of Government from Religion And Divide the power into three parts know as Executive, Judicial, And Legislative branch, how can one man keep tab on all of Egypt? This revolution was provoke by President Mubarak and was fueled by Egypt's youthfulness, struggle for Women and the world of today's technology. The known world of the past is long gone now. We now have Access to Technology an Education. Egypt will continue to grow alongside the generations to come. Today young adults are being educated far beyond those Of their parents and grandparents. The Women of today in my opinion are still fighting to be viewed as equal to Men in many Societies. With Education Women are able to grow to fulfill something more than just a housewife.
